Life After Ironman

Like most big life events: a graduation, a wedding, a baby there's a lot of mixed emotions about completing a "project" which you've been pouring your energy, focus and time for months.

These last 3 weeks have been a good time for me to reflect. Reflect on the day and how much fun it was. Reflect on the people that helped me get through the day successfully but most importantly to enjoy the life that was swirling around me as I immersed myself in all things Ironman these last few months.

I've managed to keep my weight in check in spite of the drastic drop in activity, I'm easing back into workouts for the pure fun of it rather than because my training plan tells me to run 3 miles or bike 40. I'm sleeping in late with my husband and going out with friends. I'm catching up on movies, shopping and this week I even became an Aunt :)

One of the fun things I decided to do to celebrate life Post-IM was to have my blog redesigned. Isn't it cool and fun? Mallie redesigned it for me and I absolutely LOVE it!!!! I think it captures the silliness and fun that makes me, well me.

So I'm sure I'll have more thoughts to share throughout the summer but for now I'm resting, relaxing, recapturing the unscheduled, unstructured fun that is just exercising and enjoying all the sun that I can.
